Snapdragon 660 and 630 Become a Qualcomm New Champ

Qualcomm officially announced its latest processor in the middle class. Both are named Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630. What are the advantages? 

Snapdragon 660 630

Snapdragon 660 is the first processor in the Snapdragon 600 class that is equipped with Kryo core manufacturing 14 nm. Namely the same core that implanted Qualcomm in its flagship processor, Snapdragon 835. This makes Snapdragon 660 able to provide performance jumps up to 20% compared to Snapdragon 653.

Technically, Snapdragon 660 relies on 8 Kryo 260 cores with clock speed at 2.2 GHz. While the graphics chip, which is Adreno 512 claimed Qualcomm thrust performance 30% higher than Adreno 510 in Snapdragon 653.

On the other hand, this processor also supports X12 LTE modem, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1, QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), 4K video recording, up to Quick Charge 4.0.

Switching to Snapdragon 630, this processor both carries 14 nm manufacturing and has a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. While the octa core technology used ARM Cortex-A53 architecture. Compared to Snapdragon 626, the performance of Snapdragon 630 is promised 10% higher.

While on the graphics, Adreno 508 ditandem in Snapdragon 630 claimed to have a 30% better performance.

Other improvements lie in the presence of X12 LTE modems, and support Snapdragon 630 against Bluetooth 5.0, 4K video recording, up to Quick Charge 4.0.

Qualcomm claims the device with Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630 will be present to the market around next June
